Remember Halloween, the ultimate day of pretend? Well, I'm sad to say that schools and other organizations are deleting that bit of fun from the childhoods of many kids out there. I know, there's the dicey history of the holiday, and there's the scare factor. I just really want there to be a day when kids get to dress up and pretend to be whoever-or whatever- they want to be. We value creativity in society today--as adults, in the REAL world, it's those who can generate ideas who
make ideal team members. If we want our children to succeed, we need to show them how to practice creativity. It's NOT at all hard to do: just IMAGINE! Let those little imaginations shine! My point: Halloween is an opportunity to use your imaginations.

TEC rocks!
You guys look fantastic!! And those are fantastic wings :)
Our elementary is school is the only one left in our school district that defends their right to have a Halloween parade followed by class parties. I went to our school yesterday and it was a blast. All of the other schools in our district have fall parties but do not allow the kids to dress up to celebrate Halloween. What a way to take the fun out of childhood!
You guys DO look great, but why wait for Halloween to use imagination, dress up, pretend, or eat candy?
We want you to be a goth butterfly next year, Deb. Torn black wings, maybe fishnet tights, and all day think about the pointlessness of existence.
It wouldn't be you at all, hence the whole make-believe thing. Of course, it might be like It's a Wonderful Life when we find out what life would have been like without George - just horrid!
